Pilgrim Fellowship
St. George Parish
Pilgrim Fellowship is a community service group based in my hometown of Guilford. I am lucky enough to have been given the opportunity to travel to three different U.S. states during my high school spring breaks to attempt at making a difference for those residing within such struggling communities.

Trips:
Gary, West Virginia - April '12
Johnstown, PA - April '13
Mountaintop, TN - April '14

Some of our projects consisted of paint jobs, building wooden ramps for a handicapped family, tiling kitchen floors, demolishing, building decks, digging trenches, etc.

I was a peer minister for St. George Church in Guilford, CT for my last two years of high school. The parish alternates between pilgrimages to Italy and Haiti every other year. I knew I had plans to study abroad later in my college career and absolutely couldn't pass up an opportunity to travel to Port-au-Prince, Haiti during my final summer before heading off to college. This was a once in a lifetime experience that I got to share with some of my best friends - I am forever thankful for having been able to do this.

Some of the activities we participated in were visiting children's hospitals, AIDS orphanages, several elementary schools, sustainable farms, educational centers, refugee camps, etc.
